I have been the Squash coach for Hong Kong Squash for nearly three decades, and without a doubt, James's time with me has been one of the most inspiring chapters of my career. Although he was part of my team for only five years, his legacy lingers in every training session, every match. Even now, I speak of him as the model of what an athlete should be. His passion for squash transcended the mere desire to win.
I still get emotional when I recall how he faced off against a Qatari player, now ranked in the top 20 in the world, beating him three times consecutively in matches so tight, you could feel the tension in the air. His commitment and his spirit were an unbreakable force on the court.
Yet, it was not just his athletic dedication that moved me; it was his moments of grace under the spotlight of pressure. James's respect and impeccable manners, on and off the court, have always held a special place in my heart. His sportsmanship was not just about playing the game but about how one conducts oneself in victory and defeat.
Watching James grow has been an emotional journey for me, one that fills me with pride and boundless hope for the future of squash. He did not just play; he lived the sport, leaving an incredible mark for me.

Reflecting on the late 90s, I remember a young boy named James who would hit the squash courts after school, pouring his heart into every session. His unwavering commitment and dedication to training were truly inspiring! 💪 Fast forward a few years, and James has transformed into a formidable competitor on the professional circuit, overcoming the odds with sheer determination and very little support.
His journey is a powerful testament to self-discipline and perseverance, and I hope he can pass on his invaluable knowledge and experience to the next generation of players. Wishing him all the success in his coaching career - the sky’s the limit! 🌟

Hello, my name is Youssef Elabd, and I am a former professional squash player from Egypt. I currently serve on the board of the Egyptian Squash Federation. During a recent visit to Taipei, I had the pleasure of visiting the AJ Academy at the invitation of my friend James.
Having heard positive feedback previously, I was very impressed by what I observed. I attended several training sessions and participated briefly. The talent and dedication of James and his players were evident. I found their coaching and player development methods to be noteworthy.

I've known James since I went full time as a squash player. At that time, he relocated his training base to the Hong Kong Sports Institute, and we quickly became good friends and training partners. His decision to leave home to pursue squash was inspiring to many players here in Hong Kong. I still remember our training sessions together on the track, feeding drills, and friendly matches.
His dedication to squash was undeniable - he was a true role model to everyone in the sport. Having trained in various locations throughout his career, including the US and UK, he also built up a very extensive knowledge of the game.
